About This Spot

Stepping into Meme's Kleen Kitchen in Del Rio, you’re welcomed by a homey, unpretentious vibe where the sizzle of fried chicken sets the tone for a meal that feels familiar and made with care. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow just enough for the day-to-day rush to fade in the background, making room for simple, satisfying comfort.

The pace here is steady rather than hurried—orders take a little time, an honest sign that each plate is being prepared from scratch. There’s a modest, cozy indoor nook that invites waiting guests to settle in without feeling rushed, a small gesture that speaks to the importance of the experience as much as the food itself.

Meme’s menu is a heartfelt nod to classic favorites, brought alive through a crispness and seasoning that locals keep coming back for. Onion rings deliver a golden crunch that feels just right, often lauded as some of the best you’ll find around. The chicken, whether in a hearty sandwich or a well-loved plate, carries a tenderness and flavor that quietly outshine the usual fast-food options in town. While the fries may occasionally fall short of expectation, they don't detract from the warmth and authenticity that make this spot memorable.

Here, every bite reflects the pride of a kitchen rooted in tradition—meals crafted not for speed but for genuine enjoyment. It’s the kind of place that feels patiently inviting, where the wait becomes part of the ritual rather than an inconvenience, and the reward is a meal that sticks with you for more than just its taste.

I got the 10 for $10 Wednesday special and it was delicious! Very crispy with good flavor the chicken wasn't dry at all. I'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Definitely a favorite of mine when I'm in Del Rio! Love the flavor of the chicken and the onion rings are literally the BEST! Only downside is the wait time. It takes about 35-45 minutes from my experiences. Even so, I recommend checking this place out at least once!

Chicken Sandwich is really really good. Huge ... Don't waste your time at Wendys, McD, etc. Just come here. French fries were amazingly BAD. Limp, not fried remotely enough. Amazing considering how good the chicken is.

Great fried chicken and homemade recipes, all orders are made from scratch. So don't expect a 10-15 minute wait. More like 35-40 minutes. They have a cute little indoor eating space for waiting with a restroom.

This is hands down the best fried chicken I’ve had by a long shot in all of Texas.. I was told this place has chicken you can only dream of and figured I had to go see for myself and was not disappointed. I just finished what you see in the pic and still can’t believe how amazing it was. From the tenderness to the seasonings . This place will live internet heart for ever and you can bet your last dollar I’ll be back again in the future.

Best onion rings that I've had in a long time. In town for business and heard many good things about this spot. One of the few that I have visited that actually lived up to the talk. Originally came for the chicken and it was pretty good, but those onion rings were the real star of the show. Definitely worth a return trip

Onion rings were the best I've ever had. Huge and crispy all the way though. Amazing juicy burgers. Chicken gizzards were amazing. Fries were a little soggy. Overall great food
